Project: Revitalizing the New York State Social Work Education Association (NYSSWEA) Website
Website Modernization and Expansion for NYSSWEA
As a dedicated board member of the LEAD committee at the New York State Social Work Education Association (NYSSWEA), I spearheaded a comprehensive update of the organization's website (nysswea.org) to modernize its design and significantly expand its resources. This project aimed to enhance NYSSWEA's reach and make social work education and resources more accessible to a wider audience.
Key Improvements:
Modernized Design: Implemented a fresh, contemporary design to improve user experience and create a more engaging online presence. The updated visual style reflects the dynamic and forward-thinking nature of the social work profession.
Macro-Level Resources: Integrated a new section dedicated to macro-level social work resources. This addition provides valuable information and tools for social workers engaged in community organizing, policy advocacy, and systemic change efforts.
Blog Development: Introduced a blog platform to facilitate the sharing of timely articles, insights, and updates related to social work education, practice, and current events. This feature encourages dialogue and knowledge dissemination within the social work community.
LEAD Committee Section: Developed a dedicated section for the LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Development) Committee. This space highlights the committee's initiatives, members, and contributions to NYSSWEA's mission, providing a platform to showcase our work and engage new members.
This website overhaul reflects my commitment to advancing social work education and practice in New York State. By creating a more user-friendly, informative, and engaging online platform, I aim to empower social workers, educators, and students with the resources they need to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
